Why this work

What the project does

Twelve tipping-bucket rain gauges and six slope inclinometers installed along the known failure zones
Rainfall thresholds derived from ten years of district closure records
A named warden in each of the seven settlements, trained and on a monthly stipend
SMS and phone-tree alerting that works without data coverage
Two rehearsed closures a year, before and during the monsoon
