Privacy
What this website collects, which is very little, and what we do with it.
This page covers the website. It does not cover the records we keep about the communities we work with, which are governed by our monitoring and evaluation framework.
What we collect
Two things, and nothing else.
- Analytics. If you accept the banner when you first arrive, Google Analytics records which pages you read, roughly where you are, and what kind of device you used. If you decline, nothing is recorded and the site works exactly the same. You are not asked again unless you clear your browser storage.
- Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and your address so we can reply and so we have a record of what was agreed.
There are no forms on this site, no accounts, and no donation portal. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell or share anything with anyone.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies at all until you accept analytics. Your choice is remembered in your browser rather than on our server. Declining leaves the site entirely cookie-free.
How long we keep it
Analytics data expires on Google's default schedule. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the work and then deleted, and in any case no longer than seven years, which is the period our accounts are retained for.
Asking us about your data
Write to us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We answer every serious enquiry, including the ones we have to decline. If you are not satisfied with our answer, our grievance procedure is published on the reports and policies page.
Changes
If this page changes materially we will say so here, with the date. The date at the foot of this page is when it was last edited.
