Water, schooling and energy in the hills of Mizoram.
Springs restored above Aizawl, catch-up teaching in Champhai schools, household solar in Lawngtlai. Each project agreed with the village councils it runs in.
Mist moves through a place without asking anything of it. We would like to work the same way: alongside communities, on what they already know needs doing.
What we work on
All twelve areas →Climate action & resilience
Adaptation and mitigation with the communities and ecosystems most exposed to a changing climate, including disaster risk reduction and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Rural development
Agriculture and allied work, village infrastructure and housing, drinking water and sanitation, connectivity and electrification, and stronger local self-governance.
Education & skills
Quality and inclusive learning from early childhood onward: digital literacy, remedial and technology-enabled teaching, life skills, vocational training and teacher development.
Environment & green cover
Afforestation and urban greening, habitat and biodiversity restoration, water conservation and rainwater harvesting, and sustainable, organic agriculture.
Clean energy
Solar, wind, biomass and biogas, energy efficiency, clean cooking, and decentralised or off-grid supply for households the grid reaches last.
Health
Preventive and primary care, maternal, child and adolescent health, nutrition and hygiene, and rehabilitation after illness, injury or disability.
Sports & wellbeing
Grassroots sport and physical education, coaching, competition and para-sport for children, youth and persons with disabilities.
Waste and the circular economy; drainage and sanitation; women and gender equality; livelihoods; research, policy and partnerships.
